Project: Leadership Pipeline
Objective:
My goal was to move beyond the "first handshake" of outreach and create a path for long-term transformation. I wanted to build a genuine leadership pipeline—a system where someone could start by attending a group and eventually grow into a leader who mentors others.
Action:
For over 2 years, I’ve led weekly discussion groups focused on identity, purpose, and personal growth. Alongside these, I provide 1-on-1 mentoring and use creative media—including music and public speaking—to communicate deep-level concepts in a way that feels relatable and grounded to my community.
Results:
This commitment has resulted in 2+ years of uninterrupted weekly sessions, providing a stable foundation for the group. The most significant success is seeing 5+ individuals successfully transition into active leadership roles. These individuals now help facilitate groups and mentor new members, effectively doubling our community's capacity for support.
Reflection:
I’ve learned that the truest form of leadership isn't about the size of the crowd following you; it’s about how many people you empower to lead alongside you. While the "outreach" is vital for making contact, the quiet, consistent work of mentoring is what builds a lasting community. It is the ultimate expression of the "Everyman" identity: leading from within the crowd, not above it.
